How do I make an event private / invisible?

For every Howbout event, you can choose how much information can be seen by friends you share your calendar with.

There are three event visibility settings:

  1. Default: People you share your calendar with can see the plan name and header image
  2. Private: Shows as ‘Busy’ to everyone
  3. Invisible: Nothing can be seen in your calendar and the event won't block your availability (it's as if the event doesn't exist). Pro-Howbout users use this setting to create reminders too 💁‍♀️

You can set event visibility before the event has been created, or after.

To create a private / invisible event:

1. When setting up your event, look for and tap on the 'Visibility' button.
2. Select how you want the event to show to people you share your calendar with. Choose from 'Default', 'Private', or 'Invisible', then tap 'Done'.
3. Tap the 'Create plan' / 'Save' button to confirm
