How do I import external calendars into Howbout?
Howbout can sync with external calendars in two ways:
- You can connect Google Calendar directly in Howbout.
- You can sync calendars through your phone's native calendar app, like Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.
Once a calendar is synced, you can choose whether it affects your availability and who can see your synced plans.
To connect Google Calendar directly:
- Head to the Calendar tab (📅)
- Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner
- Under 'Calendar', select 'Synced calendars'
- Select 'Connect Google account'
- Follow the steps to connect your Google account
- Toggle on the Google Calendars you want to show in Howbout
- Choose whether these calendars affect your availability
- Choose who can see your synced plans: Friends, Close Friends, or No one
To sync calendars through your phone:
- Sync your external calendar (e.g. Google, Outlook) to your phone's native calendar app (iCal or Google Calendar) via your phone's settings
- Head to the Calendar tab (📅)
- Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner
- Under 'Calendar', select 'Synced calendars'
- Toggle on the calendars you want to show in Howbout
- Choose whether these calendars affect your availability
- Choose who can see your synced plans: Friends, Close Friends, or No one
How do I disconnect Google Calendar from Howbout?
To disconnect a Google Calendar, head to 'Synced calendars', select the Google Calendar you want to remove, then select 'Disconnect'.
